realized i don't think i wanna go to grad school this next year. eep. hello job search. what now? wish me luck?? i wanna say i'll move most anywhere for a (salaried?) job. still gotta talk to the kg about this.

the return of my chinese, japanese penpal. she doesn't speak english. i certainly don't speak chinese. this japanese is about to get weirrrrrrrd.

so what i understand about professional wine tasting is:

1. you spin the wine around in the glass for like two minutes
2. you "smell" the wine for "notes"
3. you take a sip and swish it around in your mouth for like a minute
4. you spit it out in a bucket (why the hell would you swallow it?)
